Meet Hrókur, the beloved Icelandic horse whose real-life story inspired the magical tale Hrókur and the Skyriders. Born on Dormouse Day in 2023 in Germany’s Swabian Alb, Hrókur captured hearts from the very beginning, especially with the sweet heart-shaped marking on his forehead and his remarkably gentle spirit. When Ostheimer craftsman Ralf met Hrókur for the first time, it was love at first sight. Together with longtime friend and collaborator Sibylle, the two created a beautifully illustrated story inspired by this unforgettable little horse and his longing for adventure, belonging, and home. Perfect for pairing with the Ostheimer Icelandic Horse, Grapat small world pieces, and Toverlux transparencies, this enchanting book invites children into a world of imagination, storytelling, and meaningful play inspired by Waldorf traditions.

Currently, due to labor shortages in Europe, the training of new artisans, and shipping delays, figures are being produced in limited quantities and availability varies. At this time, not all figures are in production and we will restock as many of these enchanting items as possible given the lengthy manufacturing time required to craft these beautiful heirloom toys.
