A totally new kind of crayon doesn’t come along too often, butKitpas Art Crayons are game changers. The company has been innovating since1937, when they began producing dustless chalk for Japanese schools. Forty years later they developed a process to recycle scallop shells as fine chalk.

Theart crayons came along in 2005. Today 70% of the company’sworkforce is intellectually disabled; to better accommodate these hardworking employees, the company’stwo factories have replaced all theirclocks with hourglasses.

You can use any watercolor brush with the crayons, but we recommend the easy-to-use,which holds its own reservoir of water.
