Clap, sing, count, and skip your way into the wonderful and enriching world of Waldorf games with this comprehensive book, Waldorf Games Handbook for the Early Years. This handy guide to playing games with young children offers an enduring resource for parents, teachers, forest school educators, and play leaders.

Co-author Kim John Payne shares his expertise about how “play is the work of the child.” The tried and tested games, both traditional favorites and new games, draw on worldwide Steiner and Waldorf-inspired education and are all firmly based on child development principles.

Each game is clearly and simply described and explained, with diagrams and drawings showing how to play. The games weave rhythms, movement, songs, stories, and pictures, and invite children into worlds of vibrant wonder. This treasury will help children feel at ease in their bodies, build relationships and enjoy a lifetime of play.
